Product Information

This is a DME Unlocking Service (Immobilizer / EWS / CAS Delete) for All BMW models equipped with a MEVD172, MEVD172P, MEVD172H, MEVD172S, MEVD1724, MEVD1726, MEVD1728 or MEVD1729 DME. 

This service effectively bypasses the immobilizer, allowing the DME to start any vehicle (that the DME is compatible with) without the VIN number matching. 

This service is useful for the following:

  • For service centers that need a DME that can work in other vehicles for testing purposes
  • For tuned cars that want to try their DMEs on other vehicles.

        Such a great service, I’m not sure why I did not do this the first time my keys/ews failed. Having a 2006 BMW Z4, I don’t think I need the Fort Knox of legacy security protection from theft.. that’s why you have insurance, right?         I can't say enough about the service from RPM. I diagnosed my car and a team from RPM helped me confirm the issue. I sent the DME over to them and asked hey sent it back very much the next day after they got it. Put it back in the car and the car started right up.

        After purchasing a ‘07 R52 the previous owner let the battery die completely for days before I took possession of the vehicle - when I was ready to pick it up the car would not start. Everything was working it was cranking, but no spark.

        With a code reader it was determined to be P01656 causing the DME to not allow the vehicle to start.

        After many attempts with myself and my backyard mechanic friend we were stumped.

        Quick search found me RPM Motorsports - a quick email to confirm logistics and I made my purchase. I got my shipping label for UPS right away followed the instructions given in my email and sent my ECU off - in 2 days it was with RPM and within a day it was on its way back to me.

        While in transit I got updates and instructions on what I needed to do to have the car prepared. The instructions were beyond clear.

        When the ECU arrived it was packaged well and I simply plugged it in - turn the key and BOOM the car started no issue!

        Thank you guys for allowing me to hit the road so easy! 10/10 service and product!

        Fast reliable service

        My car would not crank. I had already ruled out the starter and wiring. I contacted RPM Motorsports for EWS repair. They suggested EWS delete, which made sense to me. I shipped them my DME. It received their 24 hour turn around. I got it back, installed it and the car started perfectly. The RPM Motorsport team is knowledgeable and reliable.

        Fast , efficient, day or two turn over

        I needed to have the immobilizer removed out of my R53 computer so my mini would start without the signal from the immobilizer. These guys are the real deal they did just that with a two day turn over and they also cut my key (as I live in a city where no one cuts copper keys) 100 percent recommend, great communication and they know their stuff.

        It’s Alive!

        Crank no start due to EWS synch issues. RPM Motorsport LTD had me up and running in four days, sent in on Monday, received the DME back on Thursday and the Mini Cooper lives!
