BMW F-Series N63N MEVD1728 DME Removal Instructions

Necessary preliminary tasks:
  • Switch off ignition.
  • Disconnect battery negative lead.
  • Remove acoustic cover
  • Remove right intake duct.

 

Bank 1 DME Removal: 

1) Unlock all plugs (1) from control unit and detach. Unclip wiring harnesses from cable clips.

2) Release clamps (1), detach coolant hoses. from the control unit and close. Release the coolant hose from clamp (2). Unscrew nuts (3). Remove control unit.

Bank 2 DME Removal: 

1) Unlock all plugs (1) from control unit and detach. Unclip wiring harnesses from cable clips (2).

2) Release clamps (1), detach coolant hoses. from the control unit and close. Release the coolant hose from clamp (2). Unscrew nuts (3). Remove control unit.
