Product Information

This is a Unlocked DME Service for any BMW with ME5.2.1 DME Years 1997 to 1998.

This is useful for removing your EWS system when having the following issues:

1. EWS 3.3 failed due to a battery boost.

2. Replaced a EWS3.3 to a EWS4 from your local BMW Dealer and now running into problems.

3. You have Used your 10 Keys allowed by BMW and now your local dealer is asking you to replace the whole set for $$$$.

4. Upgrading a Race Car and wanting to remove your EWS System.

5. Installing an Engine into an older BMW that does Not have a EWS system in it.

If any of those 5 options is what you are looking for then you may go ahead and order since they fit your needs.

Please Note: You will need to leave the EWS removed and short pins 1 and 2 in the EWS female plug with a 25 or 30 amp fuse and then also short pin 8 and pin 11 (12 volts) so that the engine can crank. 

Please Note: We use a hardware component in the DME to unlock it. For 0261204467 DMEs there is NO way to unlock them in the software only.

Great product

I can't say enough about the service from RPM. I diagnosed my car and a team from RPM helped me confirm the issue. I sent the DME over to them and asked hey sent it back very much the next day after they got it. Put it back in the car and the car started right up.

Excellent Service

Not only did they advertise a two day turnaround they did a two day turnaround. I have not had a company, especially out of country, have a product ship to them and then receive it 5 days later, until Rpm Motorsport. As soon as I got the ECM back, plugged it in and vehicle fired right up. Not only was I happy but so was my customer. Thank you RPM Motorsport
