BMW EWSII UNLOCKED DME INSTRUCTIONS

If you have purchased an Unlocked ECU from RPM MOTORSPORT LTD. then you will need to get your engine to Crank (Turning over) Please follow the 4 steps below :

 

  • Step 1: If Engine is Cranking (Turning Over), Please go to Step 2.If Engine is NOT Cranking please go to Step 3.
  • Step 2: (Engine Cranking but Not Starting) Install the RE-Manufactured Unlocked DME provided by RPM MOTORSPORT LTD. and start the vehicle.
  • Step 3: (Engine Not Cranking) Please Remove your EWSII and Insert a Wire to Short Pin 1 and 3 (The only two thick wires).  Please go to Step 4 for more details.
  • Step4: (Extra Details on EWS Pin 1 and 3 Short) Please follow the4 easy steps on the pictures marked below. You are after the 2 Thickest wires in case the colors are a mismatch from what you see below. Please also note that RPM has stopped sending wires with Unlocked DME orders. Please provide your own wire to shortPin 1 and 3.
