BMW F- Series CAS4 Removal Instructions

BMW F25 - F26 (X3 - X4) CAS4 Removal

  • Disconnect battery ground lead

  • Remove trim panel for pedal mechanism

  • Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.
  • Release control unit for car access system (2) in area (3) and remove in direction of arrow.

 

BMW F01 - F02 - F04 - F06 - F07 - F11 - F12 - F13 (5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series) CAS4 Removal
  • Necessary preliminary work:
  •  Clamp off battery lead from negative connection point

  • Detach both battery cables for negative terminal in F03

  • Remove trim panel for pedal mechanism

 

  • Disconnect plug connection (1).
  • Release screw (2).
  • Tightening torque 61 35 1 AZ.
  • Remove control unit for Car Access System (3) in direction of arrow.

 Installation note:

  • Feed guide (1) of control unit for Car Access System (2) correctly into associated mounting.

 A16 is the CAS4 (CAR Access System)
