Works so Far

This solved many problems with the car, but the car is a basket case with many more things to be done. It was a barn find not running since 2017. I thank you for your great work on the DME.

Finally got my care back after a while of not starting. Superfast service and lots of good pointers/advises with car problems!

I put everything back together, powered it with a new battery, and have had a nice running N62 since. She still needs work of course but MUCH better than before!

Saved a car from becoming a parts car.

My E60 550i got parked last winter. It wasn't until this spring when I charged the battery and tried to move it that I found my DME, VVT, Etc had been swimming in the e-box. The back corner of the lid apparently missed the channel. Wasn't really a issue until I parked it. RPM was able to help me locate a donor
DME and programmed it to my car. It now starts, unfortunately it appears it will need the VVT module replaced as well. The guys from RPM were great in talking me down from the overwhelming state of seeing my DME pour water out of the corners and helping me figure out logical plan of how to approach my particular situation.

I have a 2004 x5 4.8is, can a 2005 x5 4.8is dme be used to replace it? can you just program it to match my vin? Obviously you will need the ews and key. Thanks!

Hi Michael,

We can program a Used DME for your vehicle as long as it has the same matching Bosch number as the original DME. This is the 10 digit part number on the DME sticker that starts with "0261". If this number matches then we can have you send it to us with the Original EWS and Key and program it with your VIN number to work in your vehicle.
