E39 540i EWS re-alignment

This group is amazing. They lived up to and even surpassed their positive feedback.

A weak battery tripped my EWS/immobilizer.
I thought the car was done.
After a tremendous search this group popped up and something felt right from the first online chat to a phone call with Zach a level 2 Tech.

Super fast turn around.

The Bimer fires back up with the first turn of the key and is purring once again.

I had purchased a used BMW E36 with a known no start (EWS) related problem.
RPM MOTORSPORTS was very helpful in the process of programming a new DME for me.

While performing an alignment to my old DME with the EWS module that came with the vehicle, we found the EWS unit to be defective. Based on a recommendation from RPM, I went with an EWS delete code on my used DME. The unit arrived with UPS the next day.

All I had to do was to short together a couple of wires to enable the starter to crank (detailed instructions and a short wire with a couple of pins came with the DME).

The car started first time as soon as I plugged in the DME
I would recommend RPM MOTORSPORTS to anyone in need for DME/EWS work on their BMW.
